Divan saddle user's manual
Please read this Technical instruction carefully, and save this link for later reference. Follow these instructions to ensure correct installation and safe use.
Seatpost Compatibility: Select a compatible seatpost for use with the Setka saddle, preferably one with carbon-tight fittings. Avoid using metal fittings with sharp edges, especially from ENVE and Pinarello, as they can cut carbon rails like a guillotine because of different material hardness. All edges of the clamping plates must be rounded with a radius of at least 1 mm to prevent localized stress points and material damage. A larger contact area between the rails and the seatpost is preferable for better stability and safety. Check if you have proper seatpost fittings for oval rails in case your seatpost uses side clamping system.

Torque Values: Comply with the torque values specified by the seat post manufacturer when tightening the saddle. Over-tightening may lead to damage, while insufficient torque might cause the saddle to shift during use. Always follow the recommended values for a secure and safe installation. If you have the Glagol seat post, please follow this link.

Maintenance:
  • Care as for other leather products.
  • Clean the saddle with water. The use of a bicycle pressure washer is permitted, provided the water pressure is adjusted to avoid damaging the leather’s cellular structure. For dirt removal, use only pH-neutral detergents (e.g., saddle soap) or specialized cleaning foams.
  • As a natural material, kangaroo leather relies on essential oils within its structure to maintain strength and flexibility. To prevent the leather from becoming brittle or cracking, regularly apply a specialized leather balsam or conditioner to replenish these vital components.
  • Avoid heat drying and direct sunlight.

Solvent & Chemical Warning: Never use solvents, acids, or alkaline detergents (like dish soap). These substances strip the leather of its oils, causing irreversible damage. Before applying any chamois cream or balsam, ensure the formula is free from spirits, alcohol, and acids.

Storage Precautions: Store the saddle in a cool, dry place when not in use. Avoid storing in direct sunlight for extended periods. Prolonged exposure to sunlight may adversely affect the materials and overall performance of the saddle.

Damaged Saddle Repair: Never attempt to repair a damaged saddle on your own. All repairs must be carried out by the manufacturer, and any damaged saddle should be accompanied by the purchase invoice. DIY repairs may compromise the structural integrity of the saddle, leading to potential safety hazards.

Remember that proper care, adherence to installation guidelines, and regular checks contribute to the longevity and optimal performance of your saddle. If in doubt or if you encounter any issues, contact the manufacturer for professional assistance.
