Palka handlebar user's manual
Please read this Technical instruction carefully, and save this link for later reference. These instructions will help you install your Palka handlebar correctly and use it for a long time.
Technical specification
Weight: 185g for 800mm long handlebar
Max load: >800 kg
Max rider's weight is not limited
Max stem torque (4 screw) - 4 N*m
Max brake lever torque - 3 N*m
Max grips and bar end torque - 2 N*m
Precautions/Notes:
1. We make handlebars with a specific layup for each length to make them lighter. The reinforced zone in which you can clamp your shifting and braking levers is limited. The clamping area is marked by UD carbon fiber (take a look at the drawing above).
2. As the layup is different for each size, you can't cut the ends unless otherwise agreed at the time of production.
Mounting Instructions
To install your Palka handlebar please follow the instructions for your stem installation.
1. Apply carbon grease to the clamping area to prevent carbon parts from sliding.
2. When installing brakes, shifters and stem, refer to the max torque parameters:
  • Max stem torque (4 screw) - 4 N*m
  • Max brake lever torque - 3 N*m
  • Max grips and bar end torque - 2 N*m
Proper care:
1. Carbon components have excellent strength properties, but are delicate to impact. If, while riding a bicycle with a carbon handlebar, you fall, or hit the handlebar hard against an obstacle then you should inspect the handlebar for damage. Even minor cracks in the outer layer of carbon indicate significant damage on the inside. It is not safe to ride such a handlebar. Please contact us in this case.
2. Do not store carbon parts in direct sunlight for long periods of time.
